The tests are conducted by independent OEKO-TEX -institutes based on an extensive and strict criteria catalogue. Several regulated and non-regulated substances, that can be harmful to human health are considered. The criteria often go beyond national and international requirements. The criteria catalogue is updated at least once a year and is extended based on new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements.
